Artwork Is Not a Stitch File

A vector image or screenshot describes appearance. A machine-readable file describes needle movement and stitch structure. Conversion introduces decisions about sequencing, stitch type, density, underlay, compensation, and trims.

Resizing Is Not Always a Complete Revision

A single master file may not preserve the same visual or structural behavior when its finished size, product, or ground fabric changes. Record when a separate file or sample is needed for a materially different condition.

Preview Is Not Physical Confirmation

Simulation and screen preview can support concept review and workflow discussion. They do not establish actual legibility, coverage, registration, distortion, durability, or compatibility on the intended condition.

A Repeated Number Is Not a Universal Rule

Lettering heights, density figures, stitch lengths, underlay ranges, and compensation values are often repeated in commercial or practitioner material. Without defined test conditions, they remain starting points or hypotheses.
